This study examines the influence of an industrial area on geography learning motivation and environmental awareness among high school students in Purwosari, Pasuruan Regency. The research scope covers SMA Negeri 1 Purwosari, located adjacent to the PT Indolakto industrial complex. This study aims to (1) measure the level of geography learning motivation based on the ARCS model by Keller, and (2) assess the level of environmental awareness based on Sánchez and Lafuente's framework. A quantitative descriptive survey was conducted involving 27 Grade XII students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires: 20 items for learning motivation (ARCS indicators) and 25 items for environmental awareness (knowledge, attitude, behavior). Descriptive statistical analysis was applied to calculate mean scores and percentages. Results show that geography learning motivation was at a moderate level (59.5%) and environmental awareness was also moderate (62.5%). Industrial stressors such as air pollution, noise, and elevated temperatures are identified as factors that inhibit optimal learning and ecological sensitivity. The study recommends implementing contextual and outdoor-based learning strategies to simultaneously improve motivation and environmental awareness in school settings near industrial zones.
