Focus and Scope

Georhexis: Journal of Environmental Change and Disaster Science focuses on the publication of original research articles, review articles, and conceptual papers in the fields of environmental change and disaster science. The journal covers studies related to environmental change, climate change, disaster risk reduction, natural hazards, environmental management, physical geography, human geography, geospatial science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, environmental modeling, and spatial analysis. In addition, the journal welcomes contributions on community resilience, environmental education, sustainable development, ecosystem management, land use and land cover change, hydrology, geomorphology, coastal and marine hazards, volcanic and seismic hazards, urban environmental issues, environmental governance, spatial planning, environmental risk assessment, climate resilience, disaster mitigation and preparedness, as well as the application of geospatial technologies for environmental monitoring and sustainable regional development.
