01Policy▾
Neo Civic Education: Media Kajian Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan encourages open and transparent research, so that findings can be checked, reused, and built on. This follows the COPE Core Practice on data and reproducibility, while protecting research participants.
Data Availability Statement Required for every research article and systematic review
Sharing data Encouraged, in a trusted repository, where ethics and law allow
Raw data on request Authors provide raw data to the editors on request, during review or after publication
Reporting Follow the Reporting Guidelines for the study design
02Data Availability Statement▾
Place the statement after the Conclusion, with the other end-matter statements. Choose the wording that fits:
Shared openly The data that support the findings are openly available in [repository] at https://doi.org/xxxx.
Available on request The data are available from the corresponding author on reasonable request. They are not publicly available because they contain information that could compromise the privacy of participants.
In the article All data that support the findings are included in the article and its supplementary files.
Not available The data cannot be shared because [reason, for example the conditions of ethics approval or consent].
No data Data sharing is not applicable, as no new data were created or analysed.
03Sharing data responsibly▾
—  Use a trusted repository that gives a persistent identifier, such as a DOI: for example a university repository, Zenodo, Figshare, OSF, or Dataverse.
—  Cite datasets in the reference list in APA 7th style: Author. (Year). Title of the dataset (Version) [Data set]. Repository. https://doi.org/xxxx
—  Share instruments, interview guides, codebooks, coding frames, and analysis scripts where possible, as supplementary files or in a repository.
—  Choose an open licence for shared data, such as CC BY or CC0.
04Protecting participants▾
—  Do not share data that could identify participants, especially in qualitative research, research with minors or students, or research on sensitive political or religious topics.
—  Anonymise transcripts and datasets before sharing: remove names, places, institutions, and other details that could identify people, and consider aggregation.
—  Share only what participants agreed to in their informed consent, and what the ethics approval allows. See the Ethical Clearance Statement.
—  Where data cannot be shared, explain why in the Data Availability Statement.
05Keeping data▾
—  Keep the raw data, instruments, and records of analysis for at least five years after publication, or longer if required by your institution or funder.
—  Keep them securely, with access limited to the research team.
06Requests and concerns▾
—  Editors may ask for raw data, anonymised transcripts, questionnaires, coding frames, or ethics documents at any stage.
—  Failure to provide data on request, without good reason, may delay or prevent publication, or lead to an expression of concern after publication.
—  Concerns about the data in a published article are handled under the Research Misconduct policy and may lead to a correction or retraction. See Correction, Retraction and Withdrawal.
